ABOUT PAULA
Paula's work taps into the anxieties weighing on her generation, Gen Z: loneliness, alienation, and morality in an ever-shifting world.
A Venezuelan-American immigrant raised in Miami, Florida, she draws inspiration from the anxiety and beauty of being caught between two worlds.
As a Queer woman and believer in humanity, Paula strives to make work that inspires audiences to live more fully and honestly.
Paula earned her MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute in 2024. She is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Miami.
Formerly, she was the Program Coordinator at Miami nonprofit Exchange for Change to bring creative writing classes to incarcerated students across Florida.
Paula also loves making clothes, singing karaoke, dancing, and improving her rudimentary drawing skills.
